You’re probably wondering, ”What are the Sport Shortz® kidz?
Well, I’ll tell you. The Sport Shortz® kidz started out as just toy concepts for kids. Now, they are much more. They are vehicles for both learning & growth.
The Sport Shortz® Move, Run, Jump University and kidz are part of a system. It is a series of books, toys and other products that children can use to incrementally create a foundation of fitness.
Children will be able to build upon this foundation for the rest of their lives into adulthood.
The Sport Shortz® kidz teach diversity to both the young & the old. They are able to swap their heads & bodies among each other. This shows that at the same time, we are both the same & different.
They encourage growth physically, mentally & socially.
They show us all how to change & grow our bodies & self-esteem through participation in games & exercise.
They also teach you their own unique philosophy, to "Move, Run & Jump" your way through life.
Sport Shortz® toys, games & books are the perfect vehicle for getting people up and moving.
Sport Shortz® U also features NANBF/NPC fitness figure competitor, Leslie Franklin doing each of the characters moves on their video pages.
Now that you know a little about us, please come join us on a fun journey of “Moving, Running & Jumping our way through life.

Rob McDonial is the creator of the Sport Shortz® characters and exercises.
With a “young-at-heart” attitude and imagination he brought RBI and the rest of the Sport Shortz® kidz to life.
His love of exercise was brought on by joining the basketball team during his freshman year of high school in Carbondale, IL.
The coach made him lift weights and run to help build up his body.
He had grown 6“ in height and lost 30lbs in weight while going through puberty after junior high graduation.
Rob learned as much as he could about exercise since it helped him overcome the awkwardness brought on by his summer growth spurt.
After high school, he was fortunate enough to play football at the University of ILLINOIS as a walk-on. This experience taught him even more about the benefits of exercise and eating healthy.
After graduating from college, Rob began working for a fitness equipment company. It was there that he realized that he would be best fulfilled in life by teaching people how to get in shape.
He also thought it would be good to show kids how to play and have fun getting in shape by “Moving, Running & Jumping”.
This site is dedicated to teaching both children and adults to “Move, Run & Jump” for a healthy, & happy lifestyle.
